Nichols Family // Lifestyle Family // Long Island Family Photographer

I met Steven and Larissa way back before they were even married.  I shot their engagement session twice because I enjoyed working with them so much that when I wanted to try out a new location I knew they would be up for it and we’d have a blast.

Then their wedding, which flew by it hardly felt like a days work but like I was a guest.

Now, they are leaving Long Island for bigger and better things, and to raise their adorable son!

I was so happy to capture them while they were still here!

Initially the idea was to go to a Long Island landmark and take photos to show their son, Carter, where his life started out.  Unfortunately, weather and a not even two year old in a new place don’t always mix.

The temp dropped dramatically from the time we parked to the time we walked to the first stop.

I managed to get a few frames and one epically perfect family portrait.

Can you even get over those eyes though?

But I wanted to do this family justice, so I offered to go to their Long Island home while they were still here and do a lifestyle session to show Carter where he lived while he was a New Yorker.

Aren’t they the sweetest? Such a little smooshy man ❤

Congratulations on your move guys!  I wish you all the best on your new life adventure!!

Happy Holidays! // Long Island Family Mini Sessions

Happy Holidays everybody!

Since I’ve gotten a bunch of cards in the mail, I’m guessing it’s safe now to post a few from my holiday mini session weekend a few weeks ago!  So glad we got them in while it was still nice out!

I’ve photographed these 2 since their parents wedding back in 2010!  I love seeing them growing up and getting more and more gorgeous!tricia-laponte-photography_162 The R family, first time in front of my camera!tricia-laponte-photography_163 The Campos Clan!  I shot their epicness a their house and around Huntington Village a few years agotricia-laponte-photography_164 I had the opportunity to shoot the D Fam last year when this little fire ball was just a few months old! Can you even stand her cuteness and pigtails?!!tricia-laponte-photography_165 Oh yes, the Morgans!  Sweetness multiplied. tricia-laponte-photography_166 And finally the V duo!  flying high and having a blast at this new location in Garden City!tricia-laponte-photography_167

Here at TLP I’m primarily a wedding, (and recently a lifestyle newborn photographer) I only offer mini sessions once a year, for one weekend, to ensure everyone has time to get their holiday cards.  I love giving this opportunity to families who wouldn’t ordinarily get family photos to have a shortened session at a discounted rate. If you’re interested in being on the mailing list for next year shoot me an email at hello@tricialaponte.com

Riley’s Newborn Session // Lifestyle Newborn Photographer // Long Island

Riley was 2 weeks new what he made his photography debut, fortunately for him his big brother was a natural ham for the camera.

(big HUGE shout out to my new assistant Becca for her amazing skills at this session)

Annabelle // Long Island Family Session and Cake Smash

When one of your friends has a baby who has first birthday, you gotta smash the cake!

I got to hang out with the M family for a bit to capture the littlests first cake smash and a few family portraits.  Some people might think, ooooh 3 year old twins AND a 1 year old…that’s a challenge. Me?  LOVED IT!

The twins are spunky and smart, and Annabelle is just a ball of sweet mush ❤

I did get the “everyone look at the camera” photo as well…but this is real life and I love it and them. tricia-laponte-photography_070tricia-laponte-photography_071 tricia-laponte-photography_072 tricia-laponte-photography_073 tricia-laponte-photography_074 tricia-laponte-photography_075

The R Family!!

Oh HAIII!!

Two posts in one week!  It must be a Christmas miracle!

Speaking of miracle, after all the craziness of Hurricane Sandy, I miraculously squeezed some family photoshoot goodness into the schedule!

I’ve been photographing this family since their oldest had his christening.  I love to see families grow and how adorable the kids get.

I love the little lip thing, both brothers do it 🙂
