Elena and Stephen // Mansion at Oyster Bay Wedding

To say that Elena and Stephen’s family and friends were excited for their wedding would be a severe understatement.  This wedding was described, during one of the many speeches, as the coming together of two families who have been intertwined for as long as anyone could remember and it was fate that these two should meet and bring the families officially together.

I began my day with Elena and her bridesmaids and family at her family home, from there we went to the church that both of them grew up in and from there off to the Mansion at Oyster Bay!

Everyone was excited the entire day, just happy smiles and tears.

It’s hard not to when you look at these two, it’s like no one else exists for either of them. Stephen makes Elena laugh and she keeps the energy light around her.  I’m so happy I was able to share this day with them and their family and friends!

There are so many amazing photos, posed and documented that I had a hard time picking and choosing what to put in this blog.  I chose mostly natural moments because they’re so genuine to who Elena and Stephen are and what their day was about.

Little Sister

Little sis, I remember the day you were born.  Being so excited to have a sister, I remember always wanting to hold you, even though you were huge (still are waay taller than me :).  We had our fights, (some true doozies), had our adventures (driving all the way down Sunrise Highway for no other reason than we could), and shared secrets (puh puh :).

I was honored to be your matron of honor, and delighted to capture the moments of you getting ready to walk down the aisle.  I’m still laughing about grandma trying to get us all to wear her furs, and dad panicking about getting pictures in his 1960 Cadillac…LOL.

She drove to Poughkeepsie to get her dress (Cracker Barrell!!), ordered custom shoes, and hired a makeup artist…she pulled out all the stops to make this day special for them.

I am delighted to share some of the images of my beautiful sister as the gorgeous bride.
I’m so excited to share in your first married Christmas with your new hubby 🙂

Custom shoes from shoes of prey

This is the lid to my grandmothers candy dish, one my sister and I would constantly check for “good” candy.  Appropriate I thought, for the best candy EVER.

Doesn’t my momma look pretty!

The reveal, basically my sisters version of “Hey, don’t I look FABULOUS!”

I think the reaction from mom, dad and grandma says “YES YOU ARE!”

I mean, could my sister be more gorgeous?

We then quickly took it outside to grab some shots in my dad’s car, I mean he spent DAYS waxing it so it was camera ready!

HOLLYWOOD!

I can’t even handle the gorge…

After this, we left in the limo following my dad and the bride to the church.  But, my camera stayed home.  I wanted to enjoy the day with my family, and my sister hired a capable photographer to capture all the moments after this, (who I will link to as soon as she blogs!).

Congratulations to you both, and like I said in my speech, I’m excited to start families and have our kids have fights, and adventures and share secrets.

Love you!!

Liz and Jeff’s Wedding

This was an beautiful intimate ceremony, in the most gorgeous setting imaginable.  If you can believe it, the ceremony was held in the couples backyard in Amityville, NY.

There was no pomp and circumstance, just their closest family and friends to celebrate the union of a couple in love.
Liz and Jeff, and their adorable son Christian, exchanged vows on a perfect summer evening, just as the sun was setting. Here are a few of my favorites from the evening:

Kristin and Chris Engagement shoot

When I met up with this couple at Heckshire Park in Huntington, we thought we were going to have to hustle because supposedly there was a storm a’comin’

but it didn’t…

and we were still waiting…

by far my most favortie shot of the day.  And no it never rained…

Which goes to show you, you can never ever trust the weatherman…or that love holds away the clouds 😉

Heather and Joe

Heather, Joe and I met up at Glen Cove Morgan Memorial Park.  It is one HUGE location! We shot for 2 hours and I don’t think we saw it all! This was truly a Beautiful day, for beautiful images 🙂

Joe seriously kept us laughing the whole day.  And Heather?  GA GA GA GORGEOUS!

Congratulations on your engagement!

Antonella and Frank

Antonella and Frank are such a well balanced couple.  Frank was a had trepidations at the start of the session, and Antonella?  Well it’s hard not to feel like you’ve known her forever.

They chose a most beautiful location and day to shoot; Planting Fields Arboretum on a May day, the first truly beautiful day of the season.

I had so much fun wandering around with these two, finding all the great locations to shoot them.  From a very rare tree, to a secret gate.  It was all made the more fun when Frank started to put on his model and show us what he’d got!
